Shah to stick to designing Ferno products or knot, you decide!

Wisdom dictates that the tie is a given in menswear, so why then do so many men not know how to tie one properly?  Even as we approach Halloween, novelty ties remain the fashion faux par, yet they are worn as if their owners are used to tying bin bags rather than fulfilling a fashion.

So, to help all you men out there who dream of that perfect knot, Ferno UK have created your very own guide to make that dream a reality.

You’ve heard of the ‘Windsor’, the ‘Pratt’ and the ‘Merovingian’ knot, well, we call this the ‘Shahway’ and it’s so new to fashion not even Shah had seen it until he got dressed in the dark!

Dare to be different, longing to launch yourself onto the unsuspecting public, well you can when you wear a knot like this.  Smooth and totally uncomplicated, this tie knot will ensure you are recognised whenever you wear it.  The ‘Shahway’, a knot for special people.

Bradford Park Avenue take a Ferno Frac Immobiliser just in case…

Our Managing Director, Jon Ellis spotted a Ferno Frac Immobiliser at the Bradford Park avenue football ground on Saturday morning as the club prepared to travel for their Conference North away game at Hednesford Town where both teams managed to draw 1-1.
Hope that they didn’t need to use the Ferno Frac Immobiliser since the device is mainly used for possible leg fractures!

Ferno UK Supports World Aid Convoy to Syria

Three years of unrest has created one of the worst humanitarian crises in modern history, with over 9 million Syrians in need of medical support and humanitarian aid.  Ferno UK is proud to support World Aid Convoys mission to provide this support to every orphan, widow, refugee, hospital and most needy person in the current Syrian crisis.

As part of their Emergency Winter and Medical Aid Container collection leaving the UK in October, Ferno UK have supplied surplus and obsolete medical equipment, which will support the donation of World Aid Convoy ambulance vehicles into Binnish, Taftanaz and Orient Hospitals in Syria.

Volunteers from around the UK undertake this life-saving work, yet without their help and support, World Aid Convoys would struggle to deliver the equipment needed to help save lives on a daily basis.  Without donations of medical equipment, warm clothing or blankets, many people would struggle to survive.

Tore Larsen setting the standard!

Congratulations to Tore Larsen, Chairman of Ferno Norden who is the only member actively involved today working on the CEN/ TC 239/ WG1 Committee since it’s inception back in 1989.

The 48th meeting is currently taking place in Warsaw, Poland where committee representatives from 12 EU Member States have started work on the revision to the EN 1789 Road Ambulance Vehicle Standard which will take over 12 months to complete.

Tore’s experience and input into these CEN Standards have been invaluable spanning a period of over 25 years where we have seen ambulance safety, patient care and operator safety taken to another level since the standards were first introduced.

We wish Tore all the best in his continued capacity working with the Norwegian Delegation at these CEN meetings.
